At Glints, we are committed to protecting you and ensuring a safe, reliable job-hunting experience. We work hard to provide only verified and high-quality job posts. However, we recognise that these days, scammers will make use of popular and trusted job platforms such as Glints TapLoker to build trust with potential victims. We have observed that they may submit fake documentation to pass our verification checks, making it one of our biggest challenges However, we also recognize that these days, many scammers are using various methods to deceive candidates—making it one of our biggest challenges in maintaining your safety and providing a smooth experience on our platform. We take this issue seriously and appreciate your help in reporting any suspicious job posts.
Common Signs of Fake Job Posts:
- The job offer seems too good to be true (e.g. very high salary for simple tasks).
- The employer extends a job offer without conducting a formal interview or standard recruitment process.
- You're instructed to continue the recruitment process outside our platform (e.g. Telegram)
- You're asked to pay money or share sensitive personal information early in the process, such as KTP.
- The job description is vague, unclear, or inconsistent. In certain conditions, they contacted you without using your name properly, only using "Mr/Mrs".
- The contact details provided are unprofessional (e.g. personal email address instead of a company domain).
I Received a WhatsApp Message from an Employer
In some cases, employers may contact you via WhatsApp to continue the recruitment process.
If this happens, please make sure:
- You actually applied to that job post on our platform.
- You fully cross-check the company's profile and reviews.
- The recruitment process is professional and relevant to the job role or description. (The employer will introduce themselves and reach out to you by your name and job that you have applied for)
- You are not asked to pay any fees, especially if you're assigned questionable tasks or promised unrealistic salaries or benefits.
I Was Asked to Move the Conversation to Telegram
Be extra cautious if you're directed to continue the process via Telegram. Many job scams involve tasks that promise commissions or bonuses but require you to top up or transfer money first. We strongly advise you to:
- Do not continue the conversation.
- Never share your personal information.
